Going to the Chapel - Outer Banks Churches
Have you always dreamed of a church wedding? Even if you have your heart set on traveling to the Outer Banks to get married, that dream can still come true. Many Outer Banks churches are happy to play host to visiting wedding parties. The Outer Banks has mostly Catholic and Protestant churches, as well as Christian Scientist, Jehovah’s Witness and Unitarian Universalist houses of worship.
Keep in mind that each church has its own unique policy concerning weddings for guests. Some will allow you to bring your own minister, while others will not. Ministers of a few churches require premarital counseling. The following is a list of Outer Banks churches that allow nonmember weddings, according to their own rules and regulations.
