Going to the Chapel: Outer Banks Churches
Many Outer Banks churches are happy to play host to visiting wedding parties. Keep in mind that each church has its own unique policy concerning weddings for guests, so be sure to ask a lot of questions. Ministers of a few churches require premarital counseling, which can involve meeting with the pastor several times and reading assigned literature. Some churches charge a fee for non-members, and others require that at least one of the two people marrying be of a certain religion.
The following is a list of Outer Banks churches that allow nonmember weddings, according to their own rules and regulations.
