Ocracoke Island Weddings
There’s a casual elegance to Ocracoke Island. Its quaint village is full of charming cottages, shops overflowing with local artwork, and some of the finest seafood restaurants around. The friendly locals, many of whom are artists and musicians, take pride in Ocracoke’s natural beauty and history.

With all of its wild beauty and rustic charm, Ocracoke is truly an extraordinary destination for a unique wedding. What’s more, couples planning to marry on Ocracoke will be surprised to find all the quality professional wedding services they will need on this tiny island.

If you’ve never visited Ocracoke, you’re missing out. Located on the southern end of the Outer Banks, Ocracoke Island is accessible only by ferry, private boat or small plane. There is a free ferry from Hatteras and two toll ferries from Swan Quarter and Cedar Island. For information on schedules, call 1-800-BYFERRY or visit www.ncdot.org/transit/ferry. Once on the island there are many fine accommodations; historic B&Bs, quaint inns, and beach cottages of all sizes can be found to make you and your guests feel right at home.

The main attraction on Ocracoke is the 16 miles of unspoiled coastline that in 2007 made national news when it was named “Best Beach in the USA” by Dr. Beach, Stephen Leatherman. You may get married on Ocracoke’s beautiful beaches or at Ocracoke’s historic lighthouse, circa 1823, by getting a permit from the National Park Service.

While on Ocracoke, you’ll want to take time to ride bicycles or walk the village streets. Visit the harbor where you can sail for a sunset cruise or have your wedding ceremony aboard a pirate ship! Be sure to schedule a relaxing massage or beauty treatment for you and your guests.

Weddings on Ocracoke can be classy and sophisticated or barefoot and casual. From live music to professional photographs, beautiful flowers and tasty food, Ocracoke Island wedding professionals have everything covered.

Ocracoke Island is the perfect place to unwind, welcome guests, breathe in the salt air, and fall in love! So pack your wedding dress and flip flops, then relax. Leave it to     Ocracoke Island’s wedding professionals to make your wedding day perfect in every way.
