Outer Banks NC wedding churches and chapels regularly open their doors to visitors for services. It naturally follows that many welcome visiting wedding parties. While a church may be happy to host marriage ceremonies for nonmembers, they still have their own policies. Ministers or pastors of some Outer Banks churches may require premarital counseling, which can involve several meetings with a clergy member and assignments to read spiritual literature.
Outer Banks chapels and church may require that the bride and/or groom are active followers of their religious affiliation. Often Outer Banks churches will charge a fee if you are not a member or charge a higher fee than it would for members. The fees may vary depending on whether you just rent the facility or if you also want to use the church’s officiant or organist.
